As a boon to most internet/cable service providers, and a detriment to potentially any competing service or bandwidth heavy service, net neutrality was voted down by the House on February 17, 2011. Federal courts have already ruled that current legislation does not give the FCC this power, so essentially unless another bill passes; the effort to legislate net neutrality is dead.
For a practical example, anybody providing VOIP service, or using Netflix, expect to see service degradation. If you have a problem with this, call your congressman, or call us, as we are actively working with our clients on this issue.
