MPAA Providing False Data
The MPAA admitted to a "mistake" in the report on college file sharing and the impact on it's business. In 2005, the MPAA commissioned a study from research firm LEK, which claimed that 44% of its domestic losses were the result of college student file sharing.  The MPAA now claims a "human error" (no comment as to mental, logical, or manual) caused the study to drastically over report the loss.  The MPAA now estimates that 15% of domestic losses are due to college student file sharing.  This is roughly a 200% change in estimation.
